Ok, I know you all sang it. I bet most of you did the hand motions. If you didn't because you were nervous about what the person sitting next to you might think, then dont. Sing it loud and do the motions. Come on, I'll do it with you.

ok, so that's done. Why in the world did we do that? Because I believe that is what our lives should be about. No, not the song, but the idea. I believe our goal should be to take our lives Deep and Wide.
Deep in our relationship with Jesus. Knowing him intimately. Not just facts about him. Not just the stuff he can/will do for us. But really having relationship with him.
Wide in our expansion of the gospel. Telling others about the one who we know intimately (see above). Not just using can presentations (although they can be effective), but sharing our lives with others for the purpose of seeing the life change we've experienced being experienced by others.
We do this so they can go deep, so they can go wide, so they can go deep, so they can go wide... let's give it a shot!
There is only one way to truly go deep and wide, and that's by trusting Jesus to give you life. Check this out:

Our sin separates us from God
Sins cannot be removed by good deads
Paying the price for our sin Christ died and rose again
Everyone who trusts in Him alone has eternal life
LIfe with Jesus starts now and lasts forever
